Commuter Services provides ridematching FREE of charge for commuters with the help of Commuter Connections. 

All ride matching is free, however any agreements for sharing a ride, van pools, or using transit options are between the rider and the driver/service provider as well as any associated costs, fees, or alternative driving/vehicle requirements.

Guaranteed Ride Home (otherwise known as GRH) provides commuters who regularly vanpool, carpool, bike, walk or take transit to work with a reliable ride home when one of life's unexpected emergencies arises.  Commuters can use GRH for unexpected personal emergencies and unscheduled overtime up to four times per year.  Best of all, the ride home by cab, rental car, bus or train is free!

Currently the Rappahannock-Rapidan Region has only one commuter bus leaving from Culpeper and Warrenton Monday - Friday and traveling to several stops within Washington D.C.

There are several other bus systems leaving from Fredericksburg & Northern Virginia traveling into the Metropolitan area. 




Academy Bus Service based out of the New York/New Jersey area provides a commuter bus route in Virginia that runs from Culpeper to Fauquier to multiple stops in Washington D.C. 

Service runs Monday - Friday. A single round trip pas is $23, or riders can purchase a 20-punch pass (each way is one punch) for $200 or a calendar 30-day (month) pass for $300. Service leaves EVHS in Culpeper at 5am and Rt.29/605 commuter lot in Warrenton at 530am.

The closest Metro station to the Rappahannock Rapidan Region is located in Vienna and is part of the Orange line. 

The Virginia Rail Express has stations in Frederickburg & Manassas Virginia with daily service into the Metropolitan Area.  

The only county in the region to offer rail service is Culpeper. Amtrak trains stop mutliple times daily at this location and run north into the Metropolitan area with stops in Manassas, VA and Washington D.C. Although service runs daily this train line is not catorgorized as a commuter line but is listed as a 'long distance' train with riders typically crossing state lines for travel.
